(a parent company of ) is a wholesale electricity supplier with a portfolio of facilities totaling more than 21,000MW of electric generating capacity in the United States and Canada. In January 2018, NextEra contracted Irby to construct 68.3 miles of 500kV transmission line (single circuit, triple bundled) between Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties (Corbett and Sugar substations to Quarry substation) in support of a critical tie-in for the NextEra’s Florida grid.

The Irby scope includes site survey, clearing, construction of access roads and pads, pier foundations and anchor pile installation, and setting steel structure and deadends with approximately 15 miles of the construction right of way transversing protected Everglade canal waterways.

In observance of the projects environmental requirements Irby crews adapted novel technical solutions including the use of barges, concrete pump lines, and amphibious equipment.

In March 2016, Irby 51ÂÒÂ×»»ÆÞ was contracted by the (“LCRA”) to perform the Marshall Ford to Lago Vista 138kV Transmission Line 51ÂÒÂ×»»ÆÞ Project. The project scope included the replacement of a 1.3 mile transmission line across Lake Travis plus the upgrade of an existing 14.5 mile transmission line (69kV to 138kV).

Irby 51ÂÒÂ×»»ÆÞ successfully completed this project in April of 2016 to schedule and budget.

The Eastern Alberta Transmission Line is a 300 mile 500kV overhead transmission line interconnecting the Newell HVDC static inverter plant near Brooks, Alberta with the Heathfield static inverter plant near Gibbons, Alberta.

Owned by , a subsidiary of (“ATCO”), the ~$1.3B project further strengthens ATCO’s capability to transmit and distribute electricity to its 227,000+ customers in north and east-central Alberta, the Yukon, and the North West Territories.

Subcontracted via affiliate (Irby and Valard are both Quanta Services subsidiaries (PWR:NYSE)), Irby performed 100 miles of stringing through two sub-zero Canadian winter seasons to energize the project on time and to budget in December 2015.

(“Sharyland”) is a Texas-based electric transmission utility providing wholesale energy within the Texas Interconnection (~24 million customers) as regulated by the . In April 2016, Sharyland contracted Irby to rebuild 20.2 miles of 138kV transmission line near Martin County, West Texas.

As subcontractor to (Sharyland’s nominated engineering firm), Irby’s scope included the tear-down and reconstruction of the existing 138kV transmission line, including concrete and steel poles, between Grady and Brown Substations. Five OPGW splice cans were installed along the route and construction also included four highway crossings.

The project was completed on time, to schedule, and with zero lost-time incidents in October 2016.

Client: Entergy Corporation

(an Entergy Corporation subsidiary) provides power to over 450,000 customers in 27 Texas counties. In September 2015, Entergy contracted Irby affiliate company (Irby and Dashiell are subsidiary companies (PWR:NYSE)) to construct 40 miles of 230kV transmission line including steel and concrete poles between Entergy’s Ponderosa and Grimes substations in southeast Texas.

Irby 51ÂÒÂ×»»ÆÞ contracted Auger Services to construct the foundations and (also a Quanta Services subsidiary company) to pull lead line and help clip the shield wire via helicopter.

This project was successfully completed in April 2016.
